SabioTrade crypto prop trading: Bitcoin, Ethereum and the 1:3 cap

SabioTrade includes cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin and Ethereum in its simulated instrument list, with leverage capped at 1:3. Crypto is also one of the payout methods. The same 5% daily loss and 6% drawdown rules apply as on forex.

Crypto as a prop firm market

A crypto prop firm account means you trade coins with the firm's simulated capital and are judged on its rules. At SabioTrade crypto sits next to forex, stocks, commodities, indices and ETFs on one platform. You do not buy coins and you cannot move them to a wallet.

What 1:3 means for the daily limit

At full 1:3 leverage, a 1.7% move against you costs 5% of equity, the whole daily allowance. On a 10,000 simulated balance, full leverage means a 30,000 position. Size crypto trades at a fraction of the cap and set the stop on the chart before you enter.

Rules that hit crypto traders

  • Scalping strategies are prohibited, so fast in-and-out trades on Bitcoin moves are out.
  • Bots and APIs need prior written permission, which rules out most crypto trading bots.
  • The consistency rule caps any single trade at 55% of total profit. One lucky Bitcoin spike will not pass the evaluation alone.

Weekend trading, MT5 and TradingView

Crypto traders often ask a prop firm for three things: weekend trading, MT5 and TradingView charts. SabioTrade runs on its own QuadCode-based Traderoom, so there is no MT5 or TradingView login. The plan table says positions may be held over the weekend. The FAQ does not publish crypto quote hours, so check the instrument details in the Traderoom before planning a Saturday trade.
